Contemporary by Angela Li is honoured to present the solo exhibition of Fatina Kong – Time Comes in Different Colours. Kong’s creative renditions seeks to explore ways to integrate Chinese painting and Western media, as well as interweaving synaesthetic senses together to construct an imaginary landscape that fuses memories and fantasies. The exhibition opening will be held on Thursday 16 March, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will remain on view until 22 April, 2023. The artist will be present during the opening.
Fatina Kong (b. 1992, China) graduated from the Academy of Visual Art, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015. In 2018, Kong travelled to Xining, China to further her painting techniques. She also participated in an artist residency program in Japan in the same year. Her works has been exhibited in Hong Kong, China and Japan, including Dear Me, (Contemporary by Angela Li, Hong Kong, 2022), Parallel Fantasies (Contemporary by Angela Li, Hong Kong, 2021), f.f. (Experimental Gallery, Hong Kong, 2019),)Versus (Tenjinyama Art Studio, Sapporo, 2018), Tugs at My Heartstrings (HKCEC, 2018), Disconnect to Reconnect (Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre, Hong Kong, 2017) etc. Kong also received the Art Olympia Semi-Honorable Mention in 2019.
